BELLA Academy Presented the First Scholarships in Food Industry

Students from the only specialized university on the Balkans – the University of Food Technology (UFT) won three scholarships in BELLA Academy’s competition. Mary-Kristin Nemska, Milka Dimova and Milan Serafimov received their symbolic checks at the amount of 2 000 leva by the CEO of BELLA Mrs. ELza Markova and Prof. Kolyo Dinkov DSc, Rector at UFT.
`As a leader company in the food branch we support young specialist and help their professional development. BELLA Academy gives them the opportunity to become part of our team of food technologists and R&D specialists who are leading professionals with international experience`, Elza Markova said on the official ceremony. According to her words almost all R&D specialist in BELLA graduated in UFT. ‘'The academy is a very popular programme among students and gives opportunities for career development. We believe that our first scholars will be also our long-term employees. Only in 2013 110 colleagues celebrated 10th anniversary in our company’', Markova said.
`With BELLA Academy Scholarships we affirm the longstanding successful collaboration between the university and the largest food company in Bulgaria. We are happy that there are companies that invest in young educated people in Bulgaria and give them the opportunity to prove their abilities`, the rector of the UFT Prof. Kolyo Dinkov DSc said.
In the first edition of BELLA Academy contest were involved over 50% of all eligible entries - the most successful students at the UFT that is a very good result. All participants received certificates for successful performance in the scholarship programme.
BELLA Academy Scholarships are the newest project of BELLA and UFT. Company`s factories regularly accept students from UFT for trainings. Thus BELLA promotes career development of future food industry professionals in the industry.
